The share of relevant AI shopping recommendations in a category that mention a given brand. A weighted composite across the six major agent surfaces.
AI Share of Voice measures the fraction of a category's AI shopping recommendations that surface your brand. Unlike traditional Share of Voice (social listening / mention counting), AI SoV is corpus-based: we run a labeled query set through each agent surface and count brand appearances in the responses.
SoV is category-level. Brand SoV of 5.30% in the "non-toxic cookware" category on Rufus means that of every 100 relevant Rufus responses, 5.30 mention the brand — either as a Top-3 recommendation or in supporting context.
Meaningful SoV movement in a competitive category is typically 0.3-1.0 points in 4-8 weeks with focused work. Amazon India moved +0.98 in 6 weeks across 6 categories. ITC MasterChef moved +89% relative SoV in 30 days.
