Monthly spend

Est. clicks / month
600-1,000
Est. leads or orders
12-20
Est. cost per lead
$150-$250
Matched conversations needed (at 1.3% CTR): 46,154-76,923
Assumptions (shown, not hidden):
CPC range $3-$5 for ecommerce / retail / dtc - 2026 practitioner reports and OpenAI recommended starting bids. CTR 1.3% from Tru Commerce's US campaigns since July 2026 (industry reporting: ~0.9%, eMarketer 2026). Delivery ramps gradually during the beta, so early months may under-deliver budget. Estimates, not quotes.
How to read the numbers
ChatGPT shows one labeled ad per matched conversation, so the model is simple: budget ÷ CPC = clicks, clicks × your landing conversion rate = leads. The wide ranges are honest - auction prices depend on relevance and competition, and the beta ramps delivery gradually.
Two numbers matter more than any estimate here. First, your conversion tracking - without the OpenAI pixel and a linked conversion event, you'll never know the real CPL. Second, your organic layer: Plus and Pro users never see ads, so the recommendation ChatGPT makes on its own is the only shelf your most premium buyers ever see.
