Citation Rank

Tru Commerce's flagship AI Share-of-Voice score — measures how often and where a brand appears when AI agents answer category-relevant shopper questions.

Citation Rank is our AI Share-of-Voice metric. For a brand's category, we assemble a corpus of shopper-typical queries (usually 100-300 per category) and submit each to the six agent surfaces (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Rufus, Copilot, Claude). The score is a weighted composite of (a) share of queries where the brand appears, (b) average position when it appears, (c) surface breadth (out of six), (d) recency of appearances.

Citation Rank refreshes continuously — a first-party measurement layer, not a third-party scraper. Baseline scans complete in 24 hours from URL submission (free tier). Continuous tracking, category-level benchmarking, and DACT-panel integration ship with the Growth and Enterprise tiers.
