Gemini shopping
Also known as: Google Gemini shopping · Google Buy for Me
Google's agentic commerce surfaces — Gemini chat, AI Overviews in Search, Buy for Me. All powered by the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP).
Google's agentic commerce runs across three related surfaces: Gemini chat (standalone conversation), AI Overviews (embedded in Google Search results), and Buy for Me (agent-completed purchases inside Search). All three integrate with merchants through UCP.
Gemini has the highest DACT multiplier of any AI surface — median 11.4× based on our field data. That is, GA4 catches about 9% of Gemini-driven shopper sessions; the other 91% show up as Direct. This is because Google has been the slowest to decorate outbound URLs with attribution parameters.
Ranking signals: Gemini weights price and shipping more aggressively than ChatGPT. Structured Offer schema (delivery date, return window, shipping cost) is disproportionately high-value on Google surfaces.
